HELPING BOZEMAN AND MISSOULA COMMUNITIES GET OFF THE GRASS SINCE 2009

Hi all!

I am looking to do my seed order for the Spring, but since this will be our first full growing season in Missoula I am looking for a little advice. Does anyone have any suggestions for veggies that grow particularly well for you? I don't have acres of space, but definitely more than I am accustomed to. There is one existing raised bed that is approximately 20'x18' and may add on that if I have the time. Any guidance anybody may have would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hey Alan,

Check out the resources page and especially the Garden Planting Calendar. The Missoula crew will, most likely, take on a "Seedluck" or seed ordering potluck in the early months of 2011--probably in February or March. There you'll have a great chance to exchange ideas about certain varieties and perhaps even seeds.

I had a lot of luck this year with greens (head and bowl lettuce, arugula), peas, and kale. Wish I'd planted squash and cucumbers and brusselsprouts in early June!
