WHAT WE DO
Neighborhood Fruit Gleaning Raids (we call ourselves the Fruit Bats!) like this one are loosely organized in mid September. Pickers travel to households with visible pear, plum, cherry and apple trees, ask permission to pick, and spend the rest of the day harvesting, washing, pressing cider, or dehydrating for fruit leather/chips.
Sound like fun? We always need more pickers & so do local farms that donate produce to local food banks! So feel free to contact us at 1000newgardensbozeman@gmail.com to get on the gleaners list!
