The mission of this group is to form a bit of comprehensive knowledge and resources for people interested in those tiny ovals. We discuss methods for seed saving and create community outlets for excess (eg. bartering exchanges)

"Hey Alan, Check out the resources page and especially the Garden Planting Calendar. The Missoula crew will, most likely, take on a "Seedluck" or seed ordering potluck in the early months of 2011--probably in February or March. There…"

Planning for Planting

Hi all!I am looking to do my seed order for the Spring, but since this will be our first full growing season in Missoula I am looking for a little advice. Does anyone have any suggestions for veggies that grow particularly well for you? I don't have acres of space, but definitely more than I am accustomed to. There is one existing raised bed that is approximately 20'x18' and may add on that if I have the time. Any guidance anybody may have would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!See More

How did you hear about the group?
We just recently moved to Missoula and was searching for gardening resources in the area. I am also looking for a little direction on what might be good options for a low water usage organic garden in the Missoula area.
