HELPING BOZEMAN AND MISSOULA COMMUNITIES GET OFF THE GRASS SINCE 2009

Hi everyone,

So excited, finally time to get our garden growing and this year we have 2 mini-gardeners to get dirty with us. We are still relatively new to gardening and I was hoping we could get a few tips and maybe even a timeline (or a link) as to what we should be doing & when. What kinds of things should we be preparing now? Resources for seeds? How to use the compost we started last year?

Hey guys--I'm excited to read about your growing season again this year, even from my little nook in Bozeman.  Here's a gardening resource page we've created for questions such as yours.  The most helpful document may be the Garden Planning Calendar -- I've heard of gardeners who read a little before they go to bed at night!  Unfortunately, it needs adjusting before gardeners in Bozeman can relate to it . . . there's still snow on the ground . . . how are we supposed to plant peas!?

Best of luck with those 2 spuds of yers,

Max
