HELPING BOZEMAN AND MISSOULA COMMUNITIES GET OFF THE GRASS SINCE 2009

YOUR GARDEN IS READY TO PLANT. NOW WHAT?

YOUR GARDEN IS READY TO PLANT. NOW WHAT?

Just a few suggestions for you--one of the best new gardeners in the world--to engage your neighborhood and the 1KNG Network of Gardeners. Our volunteer services could really spread to more people with your help…

  • Keep us updated on your experiences by sharing:

1) ideas, questions, recipes and other resources here on the site once each month...

2) photos you take of the vegetables in fruit or in trouble…

3) and the seeds you collect with others at next year's Seedluck (Seed Ordering Potluck)

  • Reach over the fenceline to spread your experiences and the good work of 1KNG volunteers. Ask your neighbors some questions.

  • Survey and document your block’s interest in receiving help from 1KNG volunteers in converting their lawns into edible landscapes. Do they want gardens? What are their barriers to growing their own food?

  • Invite a neighbor over for a meal or organize a harvest potluck with friends.

So that's all that's on my mind at the moment.

How do you imagine yourself bringing others into the movement towards food growth, cooking, and preservation?
